Samsung to launch Galaxy S2 Plus and Galaxy Note S?

According to rumors, Samsung is planning to launch two more smartphones towards the end of February. These two new handsets are the Galaxy S2 Plus and the Galaxy Note S.

The Galaxy S2 Plus is a beefed up version of the popular Galaxy S2, which was spotted by Pocketnow on a database of a benchmark app. The database lists the device sporting a display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It is powered by Gingerbread (2.3.4).

According to Recombu, it’s possible that the S2 Plus spotted by Pocketnow is the variant of the S2 offered by T-Mobile US. However, T-Mobile’s version runs Android 2.3.5. We’re wondering why the S2 Plus runs Gingerbread instead of Ice Cream Sandwich.

Mobilecowboys, a Dutch website, claims to have the inside scoop on the Galaxy S2 Plus. It also claims that the Galaxy Note’s successor, the Galaxy Note S, is also incoming. The website also suggests that the highly anticipated Galaxy S3 will be launched on the 13th of March.

If these rumors are true, it’s likely Samsung will launch the Galaxy S2 Plus and the Galaxy Note S at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona towards the end of the month.
