Samsung Galaxy S3 running ICS fake?
Mobile phone insider, Eldar Murtazin, posted a picture of the Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on Twitter. He claims that this is a press shot of the Galaxy S2’s successor, scheduled to be officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress. However, it looks like this photo is a fake.
Android Community has zoomed-in on the supposed press shots and indicates that the photo is nothing but a bad Photoshop render rather than the real deal. It notes the uneven edges and inconsistencies with the display showing ICS. The website adds that the handset makes use of stock ICS buttons, which is not something Samsung is likely to do.
Furthermore, Android Community placed Murtazin’s alleged press shot right beside an image of the white Samsung Galaxy S2. It notes that the two are identical, aside from the ICS display and buttons.
Aside from the Android Community’s argument that Murtazin’s leak is a fake, Samsung did say that it would not be unveiling the Galaxy S3 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of the month. Instead, it would be unveiling its future flagship at its own show, just like Apple does with its products such as the iPhone 4S.
Do you think Eldar Murtazin’s press shot leak of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a fake, or do you think it’s the real deal? Give us your thoughts.
