Orange Offers Free Nokia Lumia 710 Contract Deals
The second smart phone from the Nokia Lumia series has now been launched on Orange deals, the Nokia Lumia 710 joins the original Lumia 800 as a less expensive but no less feature packed alternative for those on a budget wanting the best of the new Windows Phone 7.5 operating system.
Nokia Lumia 710 deals on Orange are now available from free at just £15.50 per month on Orange Dolphin offers, this not only includes a free Lumia 710 phone but 100 minutes of calls, unlimited SMS and 100MB of inclusive data for internet connections, updated applications and accessing emails.
Offering all of the new features found in the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango edition OS, the new Nokia Lumia 710 also has exactly the same size 3.7 inch touch screen and powerful 1.4GHz processor making for a very fast user experience, the reason the Lumia 710 is cheaper than the Lumia 800 is that the manufacturer has cut costs by downgrading certain hardware.
This includes the main display which is now a TFT screen rather than an AMOLED, the camera is a 5 mega pixel rather than 8 mega pixel sensor, there’s 8GB of internet memory rather than the 16GB of the top model and the battery is slightly smaller as the screen does not demand as much power, this said the 710 also offers a very different design to the 800 with a more traditional Nokia look with some bold colour schemes.
The Nokia Lumia 800 has been a flagship model for the manufacturer and drawn many consumers away from the rather dated Android system found in the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation XE and even those who were looking at the new iPhone with many dismayed that the iPhone 4S was not exactly ground breaking, the WP7.5 OS looks far more up to date and modern than the others and feels like it’s working with you rather than relying on you. Other Windows smart phones that have the new 7.5 OS include the Samsung Omnia W, HTC Titan and HTC Radar.
The Nokia Lumia 710 also features the new Nokia Drive satellite navigation software with GPS which lets you download maps to your phone so you do not need a 3G signal whilst travelling, there’s also the new streaming radio and music store services that were launched on the Lumia 800, connectivity comes from Wi-Fi and speedy 3.5G access and there’s a selection of interchangeable back covers in different colours to choose from.
