Samsung to unveil two new tablets at MWC?

According to reports, the Korean tech giant Samsung is getting ready to unveil two new tablets at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of the month, after they announced that the highly anticipated successor of the Galaxy S2, the Galaxy S3 would not be making it to the event.

The website Android Authority has posted screenshots hinting that the Korean firm is processing Wi-Fi interoperability certificates for the GT-P3100 and GT-P5100.

How do we know that these are likely to be tablets? The letter “P” is used on Samsung’s tablets such as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P75xx).

Unfortunately, not much is known about these rumored tablets. However, there are reports that Samsung is planning to unveil the Galaxy Tab 11.6 at MWC. This monster tablet is said to sport an 11.6 inch display with a whopping resolution of 2,560 x 1600 pixels. It is also said to pack a 2 GHz dual-core processor under the hood. The second slate is likely to sport a smaller display. If the rumor is true, we’re hoping both tablets ship running Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest iteration of Android, instead of the tablet-optimized Android 3.0 (Honeycomb).
