Sony Nypon to be unveiled as XPERIA P at MWC
The LT22i also known as the Sony XPERIA Nypon is said to be unveiled as the Sony XPERIA P at MWC. It looks like the Nypon will be joining other handsets such as the XPERIA S and XPERIA U, taking letters in the alphabet as monikers. This is according to the Telecoms Regulatory body in Indonesia, which also leaked the Kumquat (XPERIA U).
Sony seems to be fond of naming its devices after letters in the alphabet. We should have seen this coming when it named its Android tablets the Sony Tablet S and the Sony Tablet P. It’s likely Sony will do the same with future models.
The LT22i, Nypon, or XPERIA P is said to be a mid-range handset packed with a 1 GHz dual-core processor, an 8 megapixel camera, and a 4 inch qHD display. It is also said to be similar in design to the XPERIA S. It is said to be released in April and will set you back around £300, according to Sony’s leaked roadmap.
It seems Sony will busy this February. It is expected to unveil both the XPERIA P and XPERIA U at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
