Samsung Galaxy S Advance advancing towards MWC?
Wondering whether the Galaxy S3 will be making an appearance at Mobile World Congress or not? Unfortunately, it’s unknown whether Samsung will unveil the S3 at MWC or not, but there is another new handset that is likely to make it, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance.
This news comes to us courtesy of Hardwarezone, a tech site based in the Philippines. The website claims to have in its possession a Galaxy S Advance. The Advance, model number GT-i9070, is an Android smartphone with a dual-core CPU, which is expected to make an appearance at the event in Barcelona.
The Advance is combination of the first Galaxy S and the Galaxy Nexus. It sports a 4 inch Super AMOLED display and a 5 megapixel camera like the original Galaxy S and a curved design like the Galaxy Nexus. Other specs include a 1 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 768 MB of RAM under the hood.
According to the report, the Advance is powered by Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). This is disappointing since every new release is expected to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) just like the Galaxy Nexus.
Are you looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, or are you eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S3? Give us your thoughts.
