Nokia Lumia 900 coming to the UK in June?
The first Nokia Windows Phone Mango handset to land in the UK was the Lumia 800, which was released in October of 2011. The second will be the Lumia 710, which Nokia announced to arrive on the 1st of February this year. How about Nokia’s high-end Windows Phone, the Lumia 900? According to Carphone Warehouse, the handset will coming to the UK sometime in June.
The Lumia 900 looks exactly the same compared to the Lumia 800. The only difference is a 4.3 inch AMOLED display compared to the 3.7 inch AMOLED display on the 800. It was unveiled at CES 2012, but was previously to be exclusive for the US market via network operator AT&T. According to Carphone Warehouse, this will no longer be the case.
On their website, an icon reads “expected June 2012”. The retailer’s website also allows customers to pre-register for the Lumia 900.
Will Nokia launch a 3G version of the Lumia 900 in the UK in June? Unfortunately, Nokia is yet to confirm when the handset is coming to the UK. The only confirmation to come from the Finnish firm was from Nokia UK’s Mark Squires. He said that the handset will “be coming to other markets”. He also added that “it makes sense that it will come to the UK”.
