Sony Kumquat leaked?
Look at what we have here. The XPERIA blog has just leaked an image that is said to be the Sony Kumquat. The handset is expected to make an appearance at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona.
The ST25i Kumquat was seen on a leaked Sony 2012 lineup a few days back. It is one of the more affordable phones scheduled for release in April, around the same price range as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo.
Upon first glance at the image provided by the XPERIA Blog, the Kumquat’s design looks similar to the XPERIA S, sporting the same transparent band found on the bottom. However, if you take a closer look at the icons on the screen, you’ll notice that they are bigger compared to the icons found on the XPERIA S. This suggests that the Kumquat will sport lower resolution compared to the new Sony high-end smartphone.
Unfortunately, this is all we could gather about the handset if it truly is the Sony ST25i Kumquat. The ST25i Kumquat is likely to be a codename, so don’t be surprised if it takes another name once it does launch at MWC 2012.
Does the Sony ST25i Kumquat interest you? We’ll keep you posted once we know more.
