Quad-core HTC Edge to be unveiled at MWC?
According to rumors, the HTC Edge will be the Taiwanese phone manufacturer’s flagship this 2012. When performance comes to mind, it will leave existing smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Nexus in its dust with its quad-core processor. It is expected to make an appearance at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2012 in Barcelona.
The superphone is said to pack a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor under the hood. Currently, the most powerful processor in the market is a dual-core with each core clocked at 1.5 GHz. Examples of handsets with these processors under the hood is the Sony XPERIA S and the HTC Sensation XE.
Aside from its powerful CPU, the Edge sports a 4.7 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It is also said to come with an 8 megapixel camera.
According to the latest report, HTC will be holding a press event to unveil the Edge at MWC 2012 in February. Sadly, no one has received an invitation on the said even. However, it’ll be more surprising if HTC didn’t take MWC by storm next month.
