LG X3 sporting quad-core Tegra 3 processor and Ice Cream Sandwich leaked
Do you find LG handsets such as the Optimus 2X or the Optimus 3D impressive. Unfortunately, LG’s handsets haven’t made a significant impact on the market like Samsung’s Galaxy S2. This, however, is all about to change this 2012. The LG X3 packing a quad-core Tegra 3 processor under the hood and powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) has been leaked.
The leak comes to us via PocketNow. According to the website, aside from its powerful processor and the latest iteration of Android, the X3 will sport a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. In addition, it will sport an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. LG has managed to pack in all of this hardware into a 9 mm slim frame.
Of course, with all of this power under the hood, you might be worried that this smartphone will not last as long as it should just like the iPhone 4S. According to the website, a 2000mAh battery will be providing all the juice you might need.
Wait, there’s more. Pocketnow also says that the LG X3 will come with an NFC chip. This would mean that the handset will allow you to enjoy from conveniences such as contactless payments.
‘X3’ is likely to be a codename. It may be launched bearing a different moniker. It is expected to make an appearance at MWC in February. Its release date is expected on the second quarter of this year.
