LG Prada coming to the UK early in 2012
Whether you’re into phones that are more fashion-oriented or not, it seems that there is a strong market for the niche. LG and Prada will partner up again and announced that a third fashionable smartphone will be coming in 2012. This is the LG Prada 3.0.
We first saw an LG Prada handset back in 2007. In 2008, the Prada II was released. It seems the phone was welcomed with open arms by the more fashionable community. LG and Prada plan to bank on the same success this coming 2012 with the third generation Prada phone.
You may think that a fashion-oriented smartphone is a waste of time, since they tend to be pricier due to the brand they carry rather than their actual functions. This is where the Prada phone is different. In 2007, the first LG Prada was one of the touchscreen smartphones to brave the market. It was also the phone that gave the iPhone a run for its money.
Other than bearing the Prada name, not much information has been disclosed on the LG Prada 3.0. The only specs to be gathered from the design sketches is the Prada branding, a touchscreen, and a camera. Other than this, we don’t know much about the smartphone.
LG CEO, Dr Jong-seok Park, said, “Our working relationship with Prada is unique in its longevity and success, something no other phone company and luxury brand have been able to replicate.
“Having successfully launched two Prada phones by LG, we look forward to collaborating further to develop premium handsets with a strong identity and the most sophisticated style.”
Are you excited to get your hands on the fashionable LG Prada 3.0, or would you rather get your hands on either an iPhone 4S, a Nokia Lumia 800, or a Samsung Galaxy Nexus? Give us your thoughts.
