iPad 3 landing in March and iPhone 5 arriving in summer?
According to iLounge’s source, both the iPad 3 and the iPhone 5 will be landing by 2012. The successor of the iPad 2 will be landing in March and the iPhone 4S’s successor will be arriving in summer.
The third generation iPad will be 0.7 mm thicker compared to its predecessor, due to the light bar system needed for a panel sporting higher resolution. Will we finally get an iPad with a Retina Display? Unfortunately, the source failed to mention on the new tablet’s exact resolution.
When it comes to the rumored 5th generation iPhone, the source says that it will not sport a teardrop-like design. It will, however, be 8 mm longer compared to the iPhone 4S to make way for a 4 inch touchscreen.
If these rumors are true, we’re hoping to get an iPad that sports the same type of resolution as the iPhone 4. If the rumored iPhone 5 arrives with a 4 inch display, Apple fans will no longer envy the 4 inch touchscreens on rival Android handsets. The iPhone 4S’s 3.5 inch display was a huge disappointment for a large number of apple enthusiasts.
