Apple iPhone 4S 16GB, 32GB & 64GB Official Specs Released
As the huge Apple event gets under way today we finally get some confirmed specifications and features of the now confirmed iPhone 4S 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, ahead of deals being launched this month we now know that this new and upgraded edition of the iPhone 4 is faster, better equipped, comes with a larger 64GB memory version and even better than some of the leading competing phones from rival manufacturers …. and it’s not even the iPhone 5!

iPhone 4S Features:
The iPhone 4S sports an 8 mega pixel camera that can take it’s first picture in 1.1 seconds and second in 0.5 seconds, compare this with the HTC Sensation which takes it’s first in 2.1 seconds and second in 1.3.
The sensor offers 60% more pixels than the iPhone 4 and lets in 73% more light for even higher quality pictures, there’s also face detection and more added balance controls included. It also supports full HD 1080p video recording.
Sporting the A% dual core processing chip found in the iPad 2 the iPhone 4S is twice as fast as the iPhone 4 and has 7 times better graphics (dual core graphics).
Connectivity via 3.5G has been boosted by including two 3G antennas which offers download speeds of up to 14.4Mbps, again twice as fast as the iPhone 4.
A much rumoured ”system-wide voice navigational tool” has been included and called ‘Siri’ which will actually allow the user to ask a question and the iPhone 4S will respond! Users can ask about the weather, where the nearest restaurant is and other very helpful questions which the iPhone 4S delivers in a rather ‘sat nav’ esq type voice.
Siri got a lot of talk time with explanations of how it works and what it does taking up a large slot at the announcement, further details state that you can even ask ‘how long until Christmas?’ and when asked ‘Who are you?’ it replies “I am a humble personal assistant”!
Siri is actually the name of the voice search firm that Apple purchased last year. The software will support English US, Uk and Australian as well as German and French and it learns as you speak to it more.
Battery has also been improved now giving eight hours talking on 3G, 14 hours on 2G, six hours of 3G browsing and nine hours of Wi-Fi use. Plus, 10 hours using video, and 40 playing music.
The iPhone 4S will have the same price tag as the iPhone 4 currently has whilst a new iPhone 4 8GB will be the only model sold thereafter, the iPhone 3GS is to be discounted to free of charge on contract as the 4S arrives on October 14th.
