Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus packs dual-core processor
It looks like there’s another member to the Samsung’s Galaxy Tab family. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus sports a 7 inch display just like its predecessor the original Galaxy Tab. However, unlike its predecessor, this new tablet will pack a dual-core processor under the hood and will run Honeycomb.
The Tab 7.0 Plus will be taller compared to its predecessor measuring 193.7 mm from top to bottom, compared to the original version’s height of 190.1 mm. It will also be wider measuring 122.4 mm from side to side, compared to its predecessor’s wideness of 120.5 mm. However, the new tablet will be much slimmer at 9.9 mm, compared to its predecessor’s thickness of 12 mm. It will also be slightly lighter at 345 grams.
This new tablet will come packed with more power under the hood. Coupled with 1 GB of RAM, the Tab 7.0 will rock a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. It will be powered by the Android Honeycomb OS version 3.2.
The new 7 inch tablet will sport a 3 MP primary camera, capable of recording HD videos at 720p. It will allow you to capture images in the dark, thanks to its LED flash. It also sports a secondary 2 MP camera, which allows you to make video calls.
It looks like Samsung is launching one tablet after another. It first launched the Galaxy Tab 10.1, which was unfortunately banned across Europe. We’ve heard of the Tab 8.9. We have also seen the Tab 7.7, which was quickly removed from a trade show in Berlin. Now, according to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be landing in the UK within the year. We just hope Apple doesn’t get this new tablet banned as well.
