Motorola Gleam Lilac Edition (thistle graphite) Released on Orange
Orange contract deals have now been launched for the new Lilac edition of the Motorola Gleam, known by its official colour scheme as the Thistle Graphite this hue of Motorola’s first clamshell phone for some time is also available in a sparkling red and ‘gleaming’ black colour variant.
Originally released as a SIM free phone the Motorola Gleam Lilac is also now available on T-Mobile contract deals, the new Orange pay monthly tariffs offer this new lilac coloured handset for free on every deal with line rental charges starting at £15 per month.
As a mobile phones manufacturer, Motorola are probably best remembered for their ground-braking RAZR edition handset range which sold more units than any other in its day, the new lilac Motorola Gleam takes on a similar styling with its flip to open design and slim proportions making it an ideal phone to slip into your pocket.
Onboard features include a music player, a 2.0 mega pixel camera, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack plus the usual assortment of call and text features, the Motorola Gleam also lets you view selected information on a hidden display screen on the outside of the phone in animated text so you needn’t open the phone to see who’s calling or texting.
At just 13.9mm thin when closed the Gleam is as slim as many touch screen smart phones, the main display on the inside of the phone is a 2.4 inch, 240 x 320 pixel, TFT displaying 262,000 colours and the camera can also record video and has a zoom function.
All of this is packed into a phone that is offered for a budget price tag, but with those amazing external colour finishes although cheap on price the Motorola Gleam certainly looks the part!
