Red Blackberry Torch – New Blackberry 9800 Torch Red
The hugely popular Blackberry Torch has now been released in a new red edition, the Blackberry 9800 Torch Red is the third colour variant in the range and joins the original silver and more recent white models offering a vibrant alternative.
Red Blackberry Torch deals are now available on Vodafone and a free Blackberry 9800 Torch Red can be picked up from just £35.75 per month, this is on the Vodafone 600 Unlimited Internet tariff which provides 600 minutes of calls, unlimited text messaging and a very useful 500MB of data allowance every month.
The Blackberry Torch Red changes none of the superb features and Blackberry 6 OS found in the silver and white models but simply opts for a new deep red finish to its exterior casing.
The Blackberry Torch has a 5 megapixel camera with flash and is capable of recording videos as well as capturing pictures with its 11 different picture-taking modes to use. The handset also offers GPS services, a full media player and a web browser among its many other capabilities.
The handset runs the Blackberry 6 operating system, the latest which includes multitasking functionality allowing you to seamlessly run multiple applications at once, while also utilizing the App World for more apps to download to the handset, such as dedicated social networking apps for Facebook and Twitter. The handset also offers 512 megabytes of random access memory for this purpose, while its internal memory is 8 gigabytes divided between two media cards, in addition to a further microSD card slot offering you up to 32 gigabytes of expandable storage memory for all of your apps and multimedia among other things.
The Torch has a powerful 5 megapixel camera with a flash for use in poor lighting conditions, along with image stabilization software and up to 11 different picture taking modes for you to create the perfect image every time. The camera also offers video recording, and videos can be watched back on the handsets 3.2 inch HVGA display, while sharing with friends is also easy via the email and messaging capabilities offered. The Media Sync also enables you to easily sync media to another device, such as your PC for more permanent storage too.
This new red Blackberry phone has a GPS receiver which allows it to offer location based services including maps, navigation and more, including tracking which is useful for business users. The handset also offers Blackberry Messenger which allows you to communicate directly with friends also on Blackberry form wherever you are, in a way that is cheaper than text messaging. The handset also features easy text input and user interface control with both its touch screen parameters and onscreen keyboards, alongside the slide out QWERTY keyboard and trackpad offered, which provides a similar control and scrolling experience to that of a laptop computer respectively.
