Motorola Milestone 2 Deals Released
The new Motorola Milestone 2 has today been released on O2 deals, this upgrade to the original Motorola Milestone (Droid in the US) further improves on the phones features and hardware whilst still running the ever popular Android operating system.

The Milestone 2 joins a raft of new Android powered devices from the manufacturer with two to note being the Motorola Flipout and Motorola Backflip each offering a physical qwerty keyboard but with very different design twists. The first rugged Android phone has also been released by the manufacturer this week, the new Motorola Defy is a very different kettle of fish by being water proof, dust proof and water resistant.
Motorola Milestone 2
The Motorola Milestone 2 is by no means the smallest of handsets. It weighs 169 grammes and measures 116.3 x 60.5 x 13.7mm. These dimensions can almost be forgiven as the phone itself not only boasts a great quality large screen, but also a well sized full Qwerty keypad. The screen displays a good quality resolution of 480 x 854 pixels in WVGA quality. Part of the reason the screen displays such great images is down to its capability of showing up to 16 million colours.
The screen also has an anti reflective coating, making using the phone in sunlight a much easier affair. Should you not want to activate the physical keypad, the display does offer a keypad of the virtual variety. The screen also supports multi touch technology, allowing the excellent pinch and zoom method to be incorporated. The keypad itself benefits from the omission of the trackpad found on the original model. In its place now are four cursor key, which has also allowed the buttons to be made larger and easier to use. The battery on the phone is a 1400mAh lithium ion variety which offers substantial standby and talk time.
The Motorola Milestone 2 runs on the new Android 2.2 Froyo platform, the latest version of Google’s popular operating system. Android 2.2 offers the user many improvements including a new back up system which enables you to transfer you personal data to different devices. It also supports internet tethering, meaning the phone can be connected to a laptop and used as a modem. The handset is powered by an impressive 1Ghz processor, a big step up from the 600Mhz that was offered with the original Milestone. The phone operates at a very quick pace, with no noticeable lag in loading applications. Motorola have also incorporated their own Motoblur skin into the model. This will especially appeal to social networking fans as its places all your incoming messages as well as a host of other information, all in one place. This reduces the need to load separate applications in order to view such information.
The Motorola Milestone 2 is an impressive handset, based around the excellent Android platform. The phone does offer a host of facilities to keep most phone users happy, including great HD video capture and a top quality screen.
