Joining the recently released Blackberry Pearl 3G range is a new pink edition which makes for a great alternative to the original black and more recent purple and white models of this latest candy-bar Blackberry phone.
Th new Blackberry Pearl 3G pink has now been launched exclusively by Vodafone on a range of their contract deals, it looks certain that this new pink Blackberry phone will also be offered as a Pay As You Go handset further down the line which will please those people who don’t like the commitment of contract deals or just can’t get past the network credit checks.
The Pink Blackberry Pearl 3G has SureType predictive text technology making it easier for the user to quickly message contacts and update social networking sites. Additionally, the smartphone has an optical trackpad for easy navigation and scrolling particularly when browsing the Web and plenty for messaging, social networking and entertainment on the go.

The handset has an optical trackpad which acts in the same way as a laptop mouse trackpad allowing for easy navigation around the screen and seamless scrolling on pages. A simple glide of the finger moves the focus to the desired area and a a press selects it. Meanwhile, the traditional 14 key keypad with backlighting offers a compact means of text input aided by the SureType technology which not only predicts text but predicts it based on commonly used words by the user.
The high resolution colour display (360 x 400 pixels respectively) offers user selectable font sizing for greater clarity and a great display for video which can be recorded using the phones 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash and up to 2.5 times digital zoom. The camera is also capable of image capturing, and the user can instantly share their creative images and videos with friends through the Blackberry Messenger and integrated social networking features offered.
The Blackberry Pearl 3G Pink has an advanced media player which offers the user easy playlist creation, selection by artist, album or genre while also enabling the user to listen via either the 3.5mm jack audio connection or through a Bluetooth wireless headset via the phones Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and AVCRP connectivity. The media player also makes it easy to transfer and sync music to iTunes and manage all with the Roxio media manager.
The handset features 256 megabytes of flash memory alongside 256 megabytes of random access memory in addition to the hot swappable microSD card storage memory. The device has an integrated GPS antenna and comes preloaded with Blackberry Maps which offers simple directions and navigation to the user along with route planning and favourite destinations for fast reference.
Messaging with the handset is straight forward with the support for all major email protocols and the ability to create multiple accounts, while also offering the user text and multimedia messaging, as well as instant messaging. Integrated social networking is also present allowing instant access to Facebook, Twitter and more, for updates and photo and video sharing.
