Nokia X5-01 Pink, Blue, Green, Purple or Black?
A new Nokia phone is set to wow the market in the form of the X5, this new handset is a much squarer affair than the mainstream mobile phone design and is set to be made available in a range of colour schemes to compliment its funky looks.
The Nokia X5 will be available in blue, pink, purple, green and original black colour schemes covering most bases when it comes to matching a users personality. The X5 represents a move away from Nokia’s standard type of styling and also combines an impressive level of technology combined with aesthetic appeal. Aimed ‘squarely’ at those who enjoy advanced functionality, the Nokia X5 which is also known as the X5-01 measures 74 x 66 mm wide whilst being 16 mm thick and weighing 129 g.
All of the colour schemes offer the same dimensions, specifications and features beneath their individual casings, leaving the consumer to choose between the pink, blue, green, purple or black Nokia X5.
The X5 comes with an impressive 2.3 inch TFT display screen that is able to display effective colour imagery by virtue of the 256,000 colours it can display within a 320 x 240 pixel screen size. An impressive QWERTY keyboard is located behind the screen which simply slides down to offer simplistic text and data entry. An additional feature of the screen is the accelerometer sensor which auto rotates imagery dependent upon the aspect of the unit.
The handset comes with an internal memory which is quoted at 200 MB, with a 2 GB card expected to be included within the package. For additional memory expansion the microSD card slot can be utilised, provided the means to increase the memory storage capacity up to 32 GB. The unit utilises a 600 MHz processor as well as the Symbian operating system, which within this particular handset is version 9.3.
A multitude of connectivity options are provided including web access by virtue of the included Wi Fi and HSDPA connections. In addition class 32 versions of both EDGE and GPRS are also included and combined with microUSB and Bluetooth connections offer the full myriad of connectivity options.
The Nokia X5 offers a range of entertainment based features including a 5.0 megapixel camera which operates at 2592 x 1944 pixels and also provides an LED flash for illumination purposes. In addition to the aforementioned functionality the handset also provides a document viewer, which allows the viewing of word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files. A useful organiser and voice memo facility are also provided as standard.
The Nokia X5 is tabled for releasing Q3 of 2010 and is expected to become a popular choice with the consumer. Its mix of functionality and form offers a mobile phone that incorporates everything that is desired and required from a handset.
