3 Mobile Blackberry Pearl 3G Confirmed
The new Blackberry 9105 Pearl 3G has now been confirmed by a second network operator, the dedicated 3G network; 3 Mobile has now confirmed that they will be stocking the new Blackberry Pearl 3G on its release.
Vodafone have already added the Blackberry 9105 to their ‘coming soon’ pages and we are still waiting to hear back from further networks as well as a confirmed release date for the Blackberry Pearl 3G.
There are two models bearing the same name which might confuse consumers, the 9105 is the model confirmed by Three Mobile and Vodafone and offers the ‘non Blackberry’ keypad layout as opposed to the Blackberry 9100 Pearl 3G which opts for the trademark SureType Blackberry keypad arrangement that so many users have become accustomed to.
UPDATE:
25/05/10 – Blackberry Pearl 3G 9105 Released
The Pearl 3G represents a significant step-up from the original Pearl’s feature list and notable upgrades include a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and, of course, 3G HSDPA connectivity. It also sports an optical trackpad, rather than trackball.
The better spec list means more functionality, so SatNav is now an option, as is zippy access to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and MySpace. Naturally, the 9100 also includes the usual BlackBerry email and messenger options.
There’s no news on an exact release as yet, but 3 has said that it’ll “be announcing store release dates shortly.”
