Nokia C6 is the Nokia N97 Replacement
Not that it has been around for that long but the rather cumbersome Nokia N97 has now had its official replacement (or upgrade) announced, the new Nokia C6 takes on many of the design aspects of the previous handset but packs them in to a sleeker, more refined housing.
The Nokia C6 replicates the 3.2 inch touch screen of the N97 aswell as including WiFi, GPS, a 5.0 mega pixel camera and 3.5G data support, Nokia claim that the C6 is more aimed at social networking with support for most major sites including Facebook and alsi includes IM support and Ovi with the main homescreen being made customisable for placement of favourites and popular widgets for quick access.

This latest Nokia phone also offers HSDPA for fast internet downloads, an expandable memory with a handy 2GB card included in the box, FM Radio and multimedia player with what is fast becoming an industry standard – a 3.5mm audio jack allowing users to plug in their own headphones.
The slide out Qwerty keyboard has changed slightly from that of the Nokia N97, the main navigational d-pad has switched to the right hand side like that of the Motorola Milestone and there are now four rows of keys without the spaces between them for a far more comfortable and conventional typing experience. The front of the Nokia C6 looks very similar to that of the Nokia 5800 with 3 external keys, the 5.0 mega pixel camera also features autofocus and flash.
This new Nokia phone is due to be released in both black and white colour variants in Q2 of 2010, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we get word of an exact release date for the Nokia C6.
