LG Cookie Plus GS500 is LG’s New Cookie Phone
The LG Cookie (KP500) has proved to be one of the best selling models for the manufacturer so it comes as no surprise that LG have now announced the release of the new LG Cookie Plus (GS500) to carry on the trend for affordable touch screen phones.
The new LG GS500 Cookie Plus takes a very similar design route to the original LG Cookie but opts for more rounded corners and a sleeker overall appearance, still firmly focused on touch screen technology the new LG Cookie Plus also offers a major feature that was lacking in the previous model, 3G connectivity with HSDPA – no more slow uploads, downloads and web surfing.
There is also a lot more social network integration with the new Cookie Plus, sites such as Facebook and Twitter as well as Flickr are all supported through pre-loaded applications, the user can create shortcuts using homescreen widgets and the new animated user interface.

Also upgraded is the camera, from a 2 mega pixel unit in the LG KP500 to a new 3.0 mega pixel lens, although not the usual 5Mp found in many of todays latest phones this allows the manufacturer to keep the price down making the new LG Cookie Plus as accessible as the previous model.
As you can see from the pictures here, the new LG GS500 is to be released in at least 3 new colour schemes, we predict that joining these Purple, Black and Silver colour variants will without doubt be an LG Cookie Plus Pink edition judging from the success of the previous model and the new LG Pop Pink as more gadget loving ladies are given more choice in the pink gadget category.
Release dates have not yet been confirmed for the UK, however the new LG Cookie Plus is set to launch in both Italy and France in March so expect this sleek new phone to be available very soon, we’ll keep you updated as always as soon as we hear anything.
