LG InTouch Max GW620 Review
The LG GW620 InTouch Max is a new LG handset that incorporates many advanced features, such as the ‘cupcake’ version of the Android operating system, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard. Measuring in at 109 mm x 54 mm wide, the new LG Intouch Max is only 15 mm thick, which is surprising considering that behind the display screen, is a slide out keyboard. The handset incorporates a responsive touch screen and also comes with internet access and an impressive camera.
This latest LG phones display screen is a 3.0 inch TFT resistive touch screen, which is able to display up to 256,000 colours at a pixel screen size of 320 x 480 pixels. Incorporating an accelerometer sensor as its means of automating image display aspect, dependent upon orientation, the display screen is exceptional. Placed behind the display screen, is a full QWERTY keyboard, which is responsive to touch and easy to use and simply slides out for landscape data and text entry.
Internet access is provided by its HSDPA and Wi Fi connections, which offers speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, as well as the ability to connect to a wide variety of nationally available hotspots. In addition class 12 GPRS and class 10 EDGE are also included, coupled with bluetooth and microUSB both of which are version 2.0. The GPS function included within a handset comes with A-GPS support and provides effective satellite navigation. The LG GW620 offers an internal memory of 150 MB, whilst there is the option to upgrade this up to 32 GB, by utilising the microSD card slot.
As well as an MP4/MP3 player, the handset also includes a stereo FM radio. This provides the means to either listen to downloaded audio and video files or the alternative of radio broadcasts. The phone has a 5.0 megapixel camera, which provides effective image taking capabilities, as it operates at 2560 x 1920 pixels and comes with an LED flash as standard. Auto focus, face detection and an image stabiliser are also included within the package as well as geo-tagging. D1 quality video capture is provided with this handset which operates at 720 x 480 pixels and is at 30 frames per second.
The LG GW620 is available in a variety of colours which include black, grey and blue and also comes with a document viewer, organiser, voice memo and a photo/video editor. The editor provides the means to edit photos and video whilst on the move. The LG GW620 InTouch Max is a comprehensive packaged mobile phone, incorporating some of the latest technology available. With an aesthetically stylish outlook, the handset, which has been recently released in the UK, will no doubt be a popular option.
