Gold LG Cookie joins the Pink, White, Red & Silver LG KP500 / KP501
The LG Cookie is not a latest release but has now been launched in a new gold colour in the UK, following the launch of the original black LG KP500 Cookie phone this popular budget touch screen handset has since been released in Pink, Red, Silver and White colour variants as well as a limited edition Black & Gold model.
The LG Cookie Gold is a recent colour variant of the evergreen KP500/KP501 Cookie. Although this handset has been around for sometime its popularity is showing no signs of abating. Offering excellent touch screen capability as well as a multitude of other functions, this handset set the bar at which other mid-range mobile phones have had to match.

A 3.0 inch TFT resistive touch screen is a central element of this LG handset. Its ability to display up to 256,000 colours at a pixel screen size of 240 x 400 pixels ensures that colours are represented with excellent clarity and vibrancy. The LG Cookie utilises the flash user interface for its primary means of accessing functionality in addition to a series of buttons below the screen, this provides an effective and efficient means of navigating around the screen. An accelerometer sensor is provided which automatically rotates imagery dependent upon the aspect of the image and the orientation of the screen. In addition handwriting recognition is provided which is responsive and simple to use and provides a quick and effective means of data entry.
The LG KP500 Cookie comes with a 3.15 mega pixel camera which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and takes imagery of good quality. As an alternative to still imagery, the handset takes QVGA quality video at 12 frames per second. The phone comes with internal memory of 48 MB however this can be significantly expanded upon by utilising the microSD card slot, up to an impressive 16 GB.
The Cookie phone also contains a multitude of connectivity options which include GPRS, EDGE, blue tooth and USB. This ensures the handset can be utilised for sharing and downloading files with ease. An MP4/MP3 player is also included within the package and is able to play most currently available audio and video file types. A variety of games are included which provide further entertainment should the need arise. A stereo FM radio with RDS provides the means to listen to audio broadcasts from a range of radio stations. In addition an organiser, document viewer and voice memo facility are also included with the phone.
The LG KP500 Cookie Gold offers sumptuous functionality with an aesthetically pleasing style that has endeared it already to the consumer. This colour variant provides an additional option and further enhances the appeal of this mobile phone.
