Nokia X6 Blue Review
The blue colour variant of the Nokia X6 has finally made its appearance. This highly anticipated Nokia X-Series handset offers an extraordinary level of technical excellence. From its large TFT touch screen through to its smart phone technology, the Nokia X6 Blue offers a multitude of functionality in a smart and stylish casing. The handset measures 111 mm x 51 mm and is 13 mm thick. It appears to have a slight bevelled edge running centrally through the unit which gives it an unusual look.
The Blue Nokia X6 comes with a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen which is able to display accurately 16 million colours at a pixel resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. At this kind of resolution and with that many colour variants available images are displayed in excellent colour format and reproduction. The handset includes a variety of sensors which include a proximity sensor which automatically turns off the handset to save battery power, whilst the accelerator centre auto rotates images depending upon the orientation of the handset and the graphic to be displayed. The scratch resistant glass surface has become an important aspect of this handset from the point of view of clarity of image.
The Nokia X6 comes with the ARM 11 434 MHz processor as its main processing unit, and utilises the Symbian version 9.4 series 60 operating system. Both of these coupled together means tasks can be performed seamlessly and quickly. The phone comes with 32 GB of storage internally.
The phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera which operates at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The utilisation of Carl Zeiss optics ensures quality of image is excellent. The addition of auto focus and geo-tagging are additions which are popular with the consumer. To ensure illumination a dual LED flash is provided. Video recording and playback are also provided on the X6 which is at VGA quality and at 30 frames per second and also comes with a video light. A secondary camera provides QCIF recording at 15 frames per seconds.
Connectivity is provided by a variety of options which includes GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA and Wi-Fi. Internet access is fast and simple with the ability to utilise nationally available hotspots where required due to the Wi-Fi capabilities of the handset. Bluetooth and USB are both supplied which provide the ability to file share seamlessly or synchronise by utilising a USB cable.
