Nokia 5530 Illuvial Review
The Nokia 5530 Illuvial Pink is an excellent example of affordability and clever design and function in a reworked Nokia 5530 handset. This new addition to the Nokia Illuvial range is built for music and entertainment, and it serves its purpose well. Recently released, the 5530 Illuvial is sure to be a hit, with a wealth of features and functions which centre on entertainment.
The New Nokia Illuvial range includes two other remodelled handsets alongside the 5530, these include the Nokia 6303 Classic Illuvial and higher specification Nokia 6700 Classic Illuvial.
The Pink Nokia 5530 Illuvial comes with a 3.15 mega pixel camera which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. To help in taking effective photos the camera also provides autofocus as well as an LED flash to ensure illumination of the subject matter. A useful feature included within the package is the photo editor, which allows the user to edit images on the phone. Video capture, which is always a popular medium, is recorded at VGA quality and 30 frames per second. This provides an alternative to still images and is more adept at capturing the moment in certain circumstances.
A 2.9 inch TFT resistive touch screen is the centre piece of the Nokia 5530 Illuvial and provides a vibrant screen which displays images in a clear and concise manner. The screens ability to display 16 million colours may have something to do with that. An accelerometer sensor and a proximity sensor are provided which ensures images are displayed in their correct format whilst and aspect as well as saving battery power if the phone is not in use. Handwriting recognition is provided and offers additional means of data entry.
GPRS, EDGE, HSCSD and Wi-Fi are all included within the package and offer multiple means of connectivity. Internet access which is available and is able to utilise the available hot spots located around the country. Blue tooth and microUSB provides the means to share files and synchronise with a PC if required.
The phone comes with an impressive MP3/MP4 player which can play all major audio and video formats ensuring that musical and video entertainment can be enjoyed on the phone. The stereo radio provided with the phone comes with RDS and offers the ability to listen to numerous local and national radio stations.
The Nokia 5530 Illuvial operates using the ARM 11 434 MHz processor and makes use of the Symbian OS v9.4 operating system, which ensures it is responsive and an effective handset. The phone is a simple yet effective unit that has a multitude of functions that will keep its owner amused and entertained for hours.
