Nokia 2720 Fold Review

The Nokia 2720 Fold is a flip phone which is as affordable as it is desirable and useful. The Nokia 2720 offers a multitude of functionality whilst looking superb in its stylish folding external casing. The flip phone has become a handset which is not as popular as it once was, with touch screen technology being the catalyst for the new range of phones. This latest Nokia flip phone has taken a step back. However, there are some inherent advantages to the clamshell design phone, one of which is the ability to ensure the screen is kept clean when it is in a pocket or bag.

The Nokia 2720 Fold comes with a 1.3 mega pixel camera which operates at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. It is in reality a camera for taking snap shots, which is generally what most people are after anyway. The option of video recording and playback is available and is recorded at CIF quality and at 15 frames per second.

The inclusion of the MP3/MP4 player and stereo FM radio offers the means of entertainment. Downloaded music and video files can be played with the added benefit of the players ability to play all major audio and video file formats. Radio offers the user the alternative of listening to local or national radio broadcasts should the downloaded media no longer satisfy the need for entertainment.

The Nokia 2720, as mentioned before is a flip phone. This usually means the handset comes with 2 screens, one of which is the main internal screen and a smaller external screen. The main display screen is a colourful TFT screen which is able to display 65,000 colours at a pixel size of 120 x 160 pixels. It is also 1.8 inches in size. The external display is a 1.36 inches TFT screen which operates at 128 x 160 pixels and is monochrome.

Connectivity is provided by the inclusion of GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and Blue tooth. These connection options allow the handset to be connected to multiple devices and systems and perform numerous operations such as file sharing.

The Nokia 2720 Fold is a compact and desirable unit. It is 93 mm by 46 mm wide and 17 mm thick, which in the modern day is a small handset. However its size is not relevant in many ways. It offers a multitude of features all encased within a beautifully crafted exterior and is affordable. All these elements make the handset a viable proposition.
