The Nokia 6760 looks like a handheld games console in some respects. It is a phone of substance with a plethora of features that entices its user to make the most of the veritable feast of functions. The Nokia 6760 Slide is a phone which offers something for everyone and provides the means to perform numerous tasks with simplicity and a style which is typical Nokia.
A 3.15 mega pixel camera is integral to the handset with an operating resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera is of sufficient enough quality to provide good quality imagery and ensure that images that are printed out are good enough to view. Video recording and playback are offered on this phone, which in some ways has become the norm, for most phones. Video is recorded at QVGA quality and 15 frames per second.
A 2.4 inch TFT screen which operates at a pixel resolution of 320 x 240 pixels is an integral element of the 6760 and is the major factor for this phones popularity. The display screen is colourful in every way by virtue of the fact that it comfortably displays up to 16 million colours. One of the other major factors for the phones success is the full QWERTY keyboard which is located and slides out from behind the screen. The keyboard is simple and responsive and makes text input easy to perform. The accelerometer sensor auto rotates images for optimum viewing.
The HSDPA feature provides internet access, at reasonable speeds ensuring that web browsing is enjoyable. Other connections integrated into the phone and available include GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Blue tooth and microUSB. The GPS with A-GPS support function provides satellite navigational support and uses the popular Nokia maps.
For entertainment the phone has a built in MP3/MP4 player. This ensures that whilst on the move the user has the option of listening to downloaded music and video files, all of which can be held within the phones internal memory. A stereo FM radio offers the opportunity to listen to radio broadcasts from national and local radio stations.
The Nokia 6760 is a compact handheld PDA style unit which measures 97 mm x 57mm wide and 15 mm thick. It has recently been released and offers a veritable menagerie of features. Its keyboard is superb and the whole unit is simple to use and effective in conducting the desired tasks.
Opinion:
The Nokia 6760 Slide is a funky messaging phone for the masses, anyone who sends lots of text messages, emails and likes to update their social networking status regularly will appreciate the fast text input of the easy to use Qwerty keyboard.
