Samsung Genio Review – Samsung Genio Touch – Samsung’s New Touch Phone
The Samsung Genio Touch is a phone that has distinctive looks from the new Genio range. Its minimalist PDA styling is conversant with many models of Samsung phone being introduced recently. The Genio Touch comes with a plethora of features that keeps its user amused for hours whilst still offering useful work capabilities if required. With a whole host of functions embedded within the phone its recent release has seen a growing interest in this handset and it is easy to see why.
The Samsung Genio comes with a TFT capacitive touch screen which is 2.8 inches in size and offers the ability to display 256,000 colours at a pixel size of 240 x 320 pixels. The screen takes up the majority of the front face and is colourful in its vibrant and unassuming way. Life like colour reproduction is one of its strengths and it doesn’t let you down. The Genio Touch also provides a feature called smart lock as standard.

This latest Samsung phone has a built in 2 mega pixel camera, which is not the largest available but is more than sufficient for its needs. The camera operates at a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels and comes with the always useful smile detection. The camera is a good snap shot camera with above reasonable definition. The ability to take video is available and provides QVGA quality at 15 frames per second.
The phone comes with several means of connectivity which includes GPRS, EDGE, both of which are class 10 and Blue tooth and USB. This ensures that the Samsung Genio Touch can be connected to multiple devices and conduct several types of tasks which usually involve file sharing and synchronisation of files.
The phone comes with an array of additional functions such as an MP3/MP4 player, which plays all major audio and video file types as well as a stereo FM radio with RDS. This ensures that most downloaded music and video as well as radio broadcasts can be heard and enjoyed.
The Samsung Genio Touch is an interesting phone, it packs a real punch in most quarters, and it’s ideally suited to the professional who needs access to multiple applications and internet access whilst on the move. That said it provides a level of equipment which means that its offers everything that would be reasonably need by any individual, and as such covers the whole spectrum of possible users.
