For owners of the new HTC Tattoo there has been a new online service launched where you can go and either choose form a range of pre-designed ‘tattoos’ or upload your own photos and create your own Tattoo.

This has got to be one of the most innovative new services from HTC, shying away from marketing different coloured fascias and casings for the new Tattoo and opting instead to let their customers get creative.
There was a time when you couldn’t walk through a shopping centre in the UK without stumbling across a trader or market stall selling what seemed like thousands of different new fascias and covers for mobile phones, this all changed when the manufacturers decided instead to offer the same model in different colours to make a little extra.

The problem with this was that the choices were very limited, if you liked the Samsung U600 for example (which had the most colour options of any new mobile) then you had a choice of just 7 colours, this great new service from HTC means that you can not only choose a colour but completely personlise your HTC Tattoo to your design.

The faceplates themselves are good value at just EUR 14.99 and there is a large range of pre-designed backgrounds and symbols as well as the ability to add text to your phone. We’re hoping that this is a successful venture by HTC and that the manufacturer intends to roll this service out for more models in the future.
