HTC Tattoo on Vodafone Deals UK
The newest Android phone from the HTC camp has now been made available as a network exclusive on Vodafone, the HTC Tattoo aims to bring the Android OS to a far wider audience by offering a lower cost HTC phone than previous handsets such as the HTC Hero and Magic.
Vodafone have now made the HTC Tattoo free on every tariff starting from just £25 per month.

Review:
In terms of specifications the new HTC Tattoo could be compared to the previous Touch 3G but with the obvious difference of dropping the Windows OS in favour of Android, the Tattoo has a good sized 2.8 inch touch screen display and offers some great connectivity options for your money. Connect using Wi-Fi, HSDPA fast internet uploads and downloads plus the HTC Tattoo is 3.5G enabled.
For the snappers this new HTC Android phone offers a good quality 3.2 mega pixels camera with video support and for the music lovers there’s a comprehensive multimedia player, FM Radio and a 3.5mm jack for using your own headphones, the HTC Tattoo also offers an expandable memory so you will have plenty of room to store your music, videos and pictures.
There’s also built-in GPS with a digital compass which can be paired with a satellite navigation App from the Android store such as Google Maps for route finding, there’s now a whole host of new Apps to download from the Android Store and the Tattoo also includes some nifty pre-installed ones to get you going.
Running over the top of the Android OS is a customized version of HTC’s TouchFlo user interface which makes for easy menu navigation, the HTC Tattoo also lets you track your friends online movements with a feature that lets you view their Facebook updates, recent emails, Tweets and more when viewing their contact information.
Surprisingly, with this much technology on-board you might expect the Tattoo to be a bulky device, actually its smaller than many of the recent Android phone releases measuring just 106 x 55 x 14mm and weighing in at a light 113g.
Opinion:
If you are looking to purchase a cheap Android phone and want more features and connectivity options than the recent low cost T-Mobile Pulse but cannot stretch your price range up to the T-Mobile G2 Touch or HTC Hero then the Tattoo could be the perfect new Android phone for you.
