Orange Contract Deals for Samsung Genio Touch

Originally named the Samsung Corby S3650 this latest affordable touch screen Samsung mobile phone has now been launched as the Genio Touch on Orange contract deals. First coming to market on pay as you go right at the end of September this new social networking focused handset has since acquired tariffs from both O2 and Virgin Mobile.

The Genio Touch is the first of 3 new Samsung phones from the Genio range, the next is the Genio Pro which is to feature a full slide-out Qwerty keyboard whilst the third is the Genio Qwerty which offers the keyboard on the front of the phone similar in style to the current Blackberry phones.

The Samsung Genio Touch is by far the most affordable in the range and the cheapest Samsung touch screen phone currently available, the Genio Touch incorporates a variant of the TouchWiz user interface which has been customized to suit the youth market to which this latest Samsung phone is primarily aimed.

This new network release on Orange relates to the original black edition of the Samsung Genio Touch, since its initial launch this new Samsung phone has already gained a colour variant in hte form of the Samsung Genio Touch Yellow edition which replaces the white rear casing for a new bright and funky yellow one. These back casings or fascias have been named Samsung Fashion Jackets and its a great way to personalise your phone, this is a serious throwback to days of old when just about every phone on the market offered exchangeable fascias until the manufacturers realised they could make more money by selling the phones in permanent colours.

The new Genio Touch has a 2.8 inch touch screen is is heavily focused on social networking, Samsung have pre-installed applications for one touch access to sites like Facebook, MySpace and even included YouTube and Flickr support which is great as there is also a 2.0 mega pixel camera on the rear of the phone.

Other features include a multimedia player, FM radio and an expandable memory for saving all of your favourite music, video and photo files.
