T-Mobile Pulse Review
The T-Mobile Pulse is the latest rendition from T-Mobile. With a spate of similar models including the G2 Touch and budget Vairy Touch, the Pulse is looking to capitalise on the desire for mid-range PDA style phones within the current mobile phone market with the added benefit of the Android operating system. It doesn’t disappoint. The Pulse feels comfortable to work with whilst its functions are simple and effective to use. The whole premise of a PDA phone is the fact that it should be useful, this phone is more than just that.
The T-Mobile Pulse comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera which provides the means to take excellent photos. Auto focus is standard on the Pulse and further enhances the offering of the phone. Video recording and playback are provided as an alternative to photos, and has become the mainstream for many phone manufacturers currently operating within the mobile phone market.
The phones screen is a large 3.5 inch TFT touch screen. It can display 65,000 colours accurately and operates at 320 x 480 pixels resolution. The T-Mobile Pulse has excellent colour reproduction and shows images in true life like colours. Images are vivid and bright whilst being graphically acceptable to view. The screen uses a multi touch input method for accessing functionality whilst also providing a trackball. An accelerometer function optimises images to their correct aspect for optimum viewing.
Connectivity is provided by GPRS, EDGE, HSCSD, HSDPA and Wi-Fi. This compliment of connection options ensures the T-Mobile Pulse can be connected to a multitude of devices as well as providing internet access at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. Blue tooth and microUSB are provided which allow the unit to be connected to other suitably attired devices for the benefit of file transfer and synchronisation. GPS with A-GPS support is included within the package.
The T-Mobile Pulse also comes with an MP3/MP4 player, which is a useful addition to the package. All major audio and video file formats can be played on the unit. Much like its counterpart the T-Mobile Vairy Touch White, this handset offers outstanding functionality in a stylish way.
