We previously reported that the new Omnia Pro from Samsung was to be released today September 30th, however we have just been informed that the release date for the new B7610 Omnia Pro has been postponed for a further week and is now due for release on October 7th.

The Samsung Omnia Pro will be initially launched as a SIM Free phone and the introductory price is set at £399.99, siding up alongside this new Qwerty Samsung phone is a smaller brother called the Samsung Omnia Lite, a stripped down version with no slide-out keyboard, however judging from the success of the Samsung Tocco Lite which is currently being sold alongside the Samsung Tocco Ultra this new mid-range handset might do very well.

A further handset from the Omnia range has also just been released, the Samsung Omnia 2 is a direct upgrade to the original i900 model.
