Virgin Mobile Deals for Nokia 5530
The affordable touch screen 5530 XpressMusic phone from Nokia has today been launched by Virgin Mobile, the Nokia 5530 was originally released on Orange, O2, Vodafone and as a Pay As You Go phone back on August 6th before being added to T-Mobile’s portfolio and most recently as a SIM Free and unlocked Nokia phone, this latest network launch means that you can now own the Nokia 5530 from free at just £15 per month line rental.
The Nokia 5530 is like a baby brother to the more expensive Nokia 5800, although considerably more affordable the 5530 doesn’t drop too many features though. The main touch screen display is slightly smaller than that of the Nokia 5800 and 3G and GPS have been stripped out but the all important WiFi is still present for fast and free internet access and despite being smaller the screen offers exactly the same 640 x 360 pixel resolution.
The Nokia 5530 features a 3.2 mega pixel camera with an LED flash and autofocus that supports video capture at a substantial 30 frames per second which is better than many current handsets, other features include stereo bluetooth, an expandable memory with a 4GB MicroSD card in the sale package, FM Radio and Mulitmedia player plus a standard 3.5mm jack for using any type of headphones rather than those supplied.
Aimed more at the funky youth market the Nokia 5530 makes for an attractive alternative to the 5800, its lower price and funkier colour scheme will appeal to music loving teens and tweens, Nokia have also included support for social networking websites such as Facebook which when coupled with WiFi means you can update your status, check out your friends and upload pictures to your profile.
