Nokia’s first tough / rugged phone since the 5140i a few years back has now been released as a SIM Free phone, the Nokia 3720 Classic may be a part of the Classic range more associated with style and elegance but this is a shock, water and dust proof model hiding in the disguise of its beautiful casing.
The Nokia 3720 was first released on both Orange and O2 contract deals on September 17th, this is the first time that consumers have been able to own the 3720 Classic without having to sign up to a pay monthly network deal, the handset is unlocked to all network operators so that you can use your own SIM card containing your mobile number in your new Nokia handset.
The Nokia 3720 Classic is IP54 rated for water, shock and dust resistance making this the most robust Nokia phone available, there is also a much improved battery over the previous rugged Nokia models for a far longer talktime and standby time.
On the rear of the Nokia 3720 you’ll find a 2.0 mega pixel camera supplying quality imaging whilst out and about, the camera has a digial zoom and flash unit built-in for low light level photography. Further features of the 3720 Classic include Bluetooth, Nokia Ovi Share, and email support for sharing your favourite pictures and videos with friends.
The 3720 even includes Nokia Maps for finding your way when coupled with a Bluetooth GPS receiver, there’s also Vioce Memo, an MP3 and MP4 player, FM Radio and a handy built-in flash light found in the previous 5140i model.
The back of the phone that contains the battery is secured with a special screw making a water tight seal that also keeps out dust, the edges of the Nokia 3720 Classic are constructed from stainless steel to buffer knocks and scrapes whilst the main screen is made of a toughened glass to lessen scratches and cracks.
