Samsung Omnia Pro – Samsung B7610 OmniaPro Review
The Samsung Omnia Pro is a phone that offers sumptuous style and a wealth of functionality. From its slide out full QWERTY keyboard through to its impressive large display screen the new Omnia Pro handset has an allure that sets it apart from other Samsung phones. Measuring in at 112 mm x 57 mm wide, it is relatively compact, considering that its only 16 mm thick. The handset weighs in at 159 grams.
The new OmniaPro joins an ever expanding Samsung Omnia range which is also host to the new Omnia Lite and recently released Samsung Omnia 2.
The B7610 Omnia Pro comes with an expressive 3.5 inch AMOLED touch screen, which displays 16 million colours accurately. This is all done at a screen pixel size of 800 x 400. The Samsung touch screen utilises the benefits of the advanced R touch screen display system which is excellent. An accelerometer ensures images are viewed in the correct aspect whether that’s landscape or portrait. The Omnia Pro screen offers a vibrancy of image that is difficult to match and ensures that whatever feature is being used it is displayed with a clarity and depth of image that is second to none.

The phones 5 mega pixel camera has an operating resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The user benefits from the ability to use the many additional features related to image taking which include auto focus, face and smile detection as well as geo tagging, image stabilisation, wide dynamic and panoramic shot features. An LED flash ensures illumination. The camera provides the ability to capture and playback video at VGA quality.
The Samsung B7610 AKA OmniaPro comes with various connectivity alternatives which include for internet access, the HSDPA and Wi-Fi connections, whilst additional elements include GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Blue tooth and microUSB.
1 Gb of internal memory is included with the ability to expand this up to 32 GB. The phone also comes with several additional and unique features, one of which is a business card scanner and work and life mode. Satellite navigation is provided by the GPS with A-GPS support function.
The Samsung Omnia Pro uses the Samsung S3C6410 800MHz processor as well as Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional which coupled with the full size QWERTY keyboard make the handset an excellent work tool as well as entertainment centre. Pocket versions of MS office as well as an MP3/MP4 player and stereo radio complete the fulsome functionality included within this phone.
