Black Edition Nokia 6700 SIM Free Deals – Nokia 6700 Classic
The new black colour variant of the recently launched Nokia 6700 Classic has been made available SIM Free, this new black edition holds the same features and specifications as the original Nokia 6700 silver version but swaps the outer casing for a new gloss black finish.
First launched in August on Orange tariffs and in September on 3 Mobile and as a pay as you go phone the Black Nokia 6700 Classic can now be purchased without a contract or any network ties.
The 6700 is a classic candy bar format design that Nokia have become famous for, it partners this sleek design with high specification features for a minimalistic look that understates what lies beneath its glossy exterior. The camera is a 5.0 mega pixel lens with autofocus and LED flash which can be operated by a dedicated button on the side of the phone, the Nokia 6700 also offers A-GPS with Nokia Maps plus an expandable memory which rather than being on the side of the phone with a flimsy cover is hidden under the battery well out of sight.

Nokia have been releasing a number of candy-bar designed handsets over the past few weeks including the Nokia 6720, Nokia 6303 and most recent Nokia 2700 – another in the Classic range with a budget price tag.
The Nokia 6700 Classic Black edition is a 3g phone with support for HSDPA fast download speeds, an S40 device gives a multitude of software titles alongside a decent multimedia player, internet browser and email support. This new addition to the Nokia Classic range features a little function that is also found in the top of the range Nokia 8800 Arte series, that is you can easily mute a call by simply tapping the handset.
There are also intelligent applications constantly running in the background which adjust the contrast of the phones screen dependent on what you are using the Nokia 6700 Classic for, as an example whilst you are viewing text messages the Nokia 6700 will adapt to a low screen contrast to save battery hours whilst if you are playing games the screen brightens for a better gaming experience.
The second hidden function is Uplink Noise Cancellation, a feature that monitors two microphones during a call, one for your speech and another for the ambient surrounding sounds, the phone then uses this technology to cancel out the unwanted noise for a crystal clear conversation.
