Sony Ericsson T715 Release Date & Price – Sony T715 UK
A new sliding T-Series Sony Ericsson handset has now been given a SIM Free release date, the new T715 is one of the most compact sliding phones to be released to date measuring no bigger than a credit card and offering some extremely good design.
The Sony Ericsson T715 offers a minimalistic design compared with the Sony Ericsson Walkman sliders, its sleek silver finish against the black slide-out keypad give the phone a real look of quality. The Sony T715 has now had a confirmed release date of October 19th 2009 as a SIM Free and unlocked phone with an initial purchase price of £179.99.
This may not be on a par with other models being released around the same time such as the Sony Ericsson Aino and Satio but for those that are not interested in touch screens and bells & whistle features the T715 may be just the ticket.
A 3.5g phone the Sony Ericsson T715 supports video calling but not in the traditional manner, instead of offering a secondary lens the video calling is through the main camera on the back of the phone – maybe not face-to-face then but useful for showing people your location – perhaps handy for estate agents?

This is not the only unconventional thing about this new Sony Ericsson phone, it also allows geo-tagging but because it doesn’t have built-in GPS it uses the nearest base station to determine its location.
The main camera is a 3.5 mega pixel unit with a photo light for low light conditions, the Sony T715 also has a browser, email, FM Radio and multimedia player with a handy YouTube player built-in.
You can also upload your photos and videos directly to your blog with HSPA for speedy uploading and downloading.
This new Quad Band Sony Ericsson phone may not immediately jump out at you but that’s not what this handset is about – its understated looks, clean lines and simplistic buttoning will make it a silent winner for many who don’t always want to stand out in a crowd.
BUT, for those that do like to stand out there is also a pink version of this sleek slider planned for release soon.
