Joining the Fold range of Nokia phones is the latest 2720, a sleek flip phone that sits firmly in the manufacturers budget range which offers those essential features and stylish design minus the price tag, the Nokia 2720 Fold has today been made available as a SIM free mobile phone.

This clamshell design Nokia handset has a hidden screen on the outside allowing you to see who’s calling before opening the phone, the 2720 Fold offers a little more than you might expect in terms of features for a budget mobile including a 1.3 mega pixel camera with full screen viewfinder to capture that perfect picture. The camera also supports video record which can then be shared with friends via MMS.

The Nokia 2720 Fold even offers email on the go keeping you up-to-date whilst out and about aswell as facilitating sending photos and videos, the main screen is a 1.8 inch TFT displaying 65,000 colours and those essential features such as an organiser and calendar, vibration alert, downloadable MP3 ringtones and probably most importantly Bluetooth for wireless connections to other devices for file sharing etc.

Other features include an FM Radio with RDS support, MP3 and MP4 player and Voice Memo, connections include GPRS, HSCSD and EDGE.

Weighing in a just 90.3g with overall dimensions of 93 x 46 x 17.9 mm, the Nokia 2720 is a small and compact device that will sit easily in your pocket, this is a budget Nokia phone that’s big on looks but not on your pocket.

The current Fold series includes 3 other models, the Nokia 6600 Fold in black and purple editions and the Nokia 3610 Fold, all of these other handset demand a higher price tag but are larger and heavier than the new 2720.

There is also a further red edition planned for this new clamshell phone but we do not currently have a release date.
