The LG GW520 comes with a 3.15 Mega pixel camera which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. This is good quality and offers suitably high enough resolution to take good quality photos. If video is desired the GW520 also offers video recording and playback, which is always a useful alternative when a photo won’t capture the essence of the moment. Internal memory on this phone is 40 MB, but can be expanded up to 8 Gb by making use of the available microSD slot.
The display screen on this new LG phone is a 2.8 inch TFT touch screen which displays 256,000 colours at a size of 240 x 400 pixels. An accelerometer sensor is also provided which ensures images are displayed in their correct aspect. The LG GW520 screen displays excellent colourful imagery and is one of the best elements of the phones multitude of features.
Internet access speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps are available through the phones built in HSDPA connection. This is a fast connection which offers excellent web browsing capabilities. Additional connectivity is provided by the HSCSD, GPRS, EDGE functions all of which are integrated into the phone. Blue tooth and microUSB provide additional means of transferring files and synchronisation with suitably attired devices.
For media playing the GW520 comes with an MP3 player and a stereo FM radio. This offers the ability to play multiple file formats which can be downloaded onto the phone as well as the ability to listen to radio broadcasts from local and national radio stations whilst on the move.
