Samsung Omnia Lite Release Date – B7300 Omnia Lite
The new Lite edition of the Samsung Omnia has now been given a confirmed release date as a SIM Free mobile phone, the B7300 is the second lite edition to be released by Samsung alongside the current best selling Tocco Lite.
Siding up against the current Omnia HD which is better known as the Samsung i8910 HD the new Omnia Lite is a phone for those who want a smartphone with all of the features minus the price tag, the unlocked version of this new handset will be available from 30th September.
The Samsung Omnia Lite concentrates on essential communication rather than high specification gizmos, the camera is a 3.0 mega pixel lens which is more than enough for quality pictures but the Omnia Lite excels in other areas offering WiFi, GPS, 3.5g data support. The Samsung B7300 also offers a multimedia player, a choice of web browsers, email client, and Samsung TouchWiz software.

Running Windows Mobile 6.1, Samsung have announced that the Omnia Lite will be able to be upgraded to the new WinMo 6.5 (now named Windows Phone) on its release, considerably lighter than the Omnia HD and only really shedding some of the camera capabilities the B7300 gives you plenty for your money and is not a major step down as the ‘Lite’ name may suggest.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Updateability
The new Omnia smartphone series devices will be updateable to Windows Mobile 6.5 upon the new OS update release.
