The T-Mobile G2 Touch is essentially a rebadged HTC Hero. It is an impressive mobile which has a wealth of functions that are sure to delight its new owner and keep them amused for hours. The expansive screen is the main element of the front of the phone and displays imagery in an impressive manner. This handheld device fits comfortably in a hand and is a useful PDA style phone which utilises the Android OS system.
Its main components revolve around the Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528 MHz processor which provides fast and responsive processing coupled with the oft mentioned Android operating system. These two bedfellows ensure the phone is at the cutting edge of current technology and is an effective handset which offers a reliable and stable unit.
The phone comes with a 5 mega pixel camera that has a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The camera provides the means to take photos of excellent quality, in fact at 5 MP the camera is on a par with many stand alone digital cameras. To aid photo taking, autofocus is provided which helps to ensure good picture quality. As an alternative to static images, the phone provides video recording and playback as well to give the user the choice of medium.

A 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen which can display 65,000 colours at a size of 320 x 480 pixels is the main feature of the front of the phone and is elegant and effective. The touch screen utilises the multi-touch input feature which is responsive and user friendly to use and works efficiently in accessing the features and functions included within the phone. Handwriting recognition and a trackball feature provide additional means of inputting data and navigating around the screen. The accelerometer sensor provides the means to alter the aspect of the images displayed.
Internet access is provided by the HSDPA and Wi-Fi, with speed of up to 7.2 Mbps available, as well as the ability to use nationally available Wi-Fi hot spots located in numerous locations such as motorway service stations and fast food restaurants. GPRS, EDGE, Blue tooth and miniUSB are also all included. Satellite navigation is provided by the GPS which also comes with A-GPS support.
The G2 Touch is a beautifully designed phone and comes with a raft of functions that will ensure many tasks can be conducted whilst on the move. From its impressive display screen through to its processing power and operating system, this phone is on the leading edge of technology. For this reason alone its popularity is assured.

I’ve just purchased a G2 and after owning an iPhone for over a year it’s made an interesting change..very alien OS to start with but after a few days use then switching back to my iPhone the iPhone feels cumbersome..the G2 does everthing my iPhone does and more but feels more like a phone…doesn’t matter if a phone can make tea in the morning, if the battery only lasts a day it will let u down sooner or later when u really need it..I was contantly charging my iPhone and it got annoying when travelling..21st century technology with 20th century hasstle and bulk..nothing beats the iPhones screen but use the G2 long enough and u forget it’s a different phone..I used to hate iPods..they were for fashion victims..packard bell and samsung were making much nicer mp3 players with beatifull displays and better batteries…the G2 doesn’t jump out at you at first glance but give it a chance and u will see the iPhone is too exspensive for what it does.

great phone. love the touch screen. definately a big upgrade from my last unlocked t-mobile phones. very happy. processor is faster, phone is a little bigger and it’s very practical and easy to use. it’s easy to navigate around the phone and the apps are fun and keep me busy during long waits. very happy with my new unlocked gsm phones. games and facebook keep my fiance happy and quiet during meetings and business trips. my daughter loves hers for the camera and recorder. she’s always taking pictures. also got our cell phone unlock codes and blackberry unlocking for free. got our last two g2′s at unlockthatphone.com 2 thumbs way up
