The hugely anticipated upgrade to the HTC Touch Diamond has now been released as a SIM Free mobile phone in the UK, consumers can now buy the Touch Diamond2 without a network agreement or tie to use as they desire.

The HTC Touch Diamond2 SIM Free phone is unlocked to all network operators, the user can insert their own SIM card and continue to use their saved-to-SIM contacts list, account details either pay as you go or contract and of course their mobile phone number, the advantages of the SIM free HTC Touch Diamond 2 are stark, firstly the consumer is not locked into any network agreements, secondly those wanting to own the Touch Diamond2 but have a bad credit score can easily obtain this new smart phone as there are no network credit checks in the buying process and finally the unlocked HTC Diamond 2 can now be purchased as a gift rather than having to register the handset in the buyers name.

The HTC Touch Diamond 2 also known as the HTC Touch Diamond2 is the successor to the hugely successful 2008 Touch Diamond Smartphone PDA.

The new HTC Touch Diamond2 takes the original Touch Diamond PDA smartphone and builds on its success. At only 13.7mm thick it is designed to be compact and fit the hand perfectly, yet it still incorporates a larger 3.2″ high resolution wide screen VGA display.

HTC have continued to evolve their TouchFlo 3d interface which made the original HTC Touch Diamond a hit. The interface is now more integrated with the underlying Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system providing a more seamless, customised and consistent experience. The HTC Touch Diamond2′s new interface makes accessing people, messages, email, photos, music and information faster, easier and more intuitive.

Other improvements to the interface include making buttons and menus larger to make it even more touch screen orientated. There is also a touch sensitive zoom bar to let you zoom in more easily on emails, web pages, texts, photos and documents.

HTC have also introduced a new technology in to the HTC Touch Diamond 2 called HTC Push Internet which increases the speed of downloads and rendering of web pages on a mobile phone. Web pages can be preselected and loaded instantly.

Other improvements and features include improved battery life – up to 50% longer lasting, 5 mega pixel camera, MicroSD expandable memory, gravity and ambient light sensors.
