iPhone Slide – Apple iPhone Pro – iPhone 4G or Qwerty
OK, we want your suggestions for this one – an Apple iPhone with a full Qwerty slide out keyboard, what is it to be called?
Answers below please! Do you like iPhone Pro which already seems to be doing the rounds? or perhaps the Apple iPhone 4G or Slide?

And whilst you’re at it, what would you do to the current iPhone 4 to improve it?
This is simply market research on our part, we think this version of the iPhone looks great and considering that the HTC Touch Pro2 adds in the keyboard element as does the recent Samsung Tocco Ultra with touch and slide we want to know if you think it is better to have both text input options or are you simply happy with a full colour touch screen?
Do you think that if Apple did put a higher spec camera lens, say an 8.0 megapixel camera in the iPhone that you would pay the extra price tag for it? and do you really think that the price of the iPhone despite the drop next month is still far too expensive compared with other quality mobile phones?
We look forward to hearing your views on this amazing looking iPhone.

I doubt Apple will put an 8mega pixel camera on the next iPhone, i’d say 5mega pixel, no more.
And yes, i’d still say the iPhone is still expensive even after the intended price drop.

I think a iphone pro is great however in addition to a slide out key board it must have a stylus so you can scribble ideas , notes , drawings
it would be a achievement if the stylus also had a ball pen in it ….. Wow

No need to put a damn fu!!!k keyboard, upgraded camera yes but keyboard completely useless and will give a phone less resistance at least they could dev something like for the ipad a keyboard connectic, flash camera,auto-adjust, motion,bigger screen, battery removable, and interchangeable.
nonetheless i hope they put in the market 2010 april/june/ else i’ll go for an HTC, but i want a damn iphone4g… so

i think that this phone will be incredible. i will most defienetly purchase one, and yes, the stylus is a great idea for scribbling thoughts. i really hope this phone hits the market! it looks lovely!

I text very often and update my calendar & contacts with verbose textual notes. I find I have much fewer errors and much quicker text input using a physical keyboard. I currently have an HTC slider & an iPod Touch (for the toy-features… games, internet, blah-blah). I always hate using the touch screen on the iPod for text input when I am doing searches and entering passwords because it is so much slower and more error prone (again, maybe this is based on learned habits of using a physical keyboard for years). I simply can’t get accustomed to the touch screen. When using a Droid, I find I always prefer to use the physical keyboard unless I know I am entering only one or two words. I don’t feel it necessary to use improper grammar, etc simply because it is ‘easier’ … if I didn’t have a physical keyboard, I would fall victim to the l33t sp34k simply out of pragmatism.
In sum, I’d love to see a physical keyboard though I doubt Apple would have the courage to create a device as such because of the potential warranty issues with the increased number of moving parts. They will likely hide behind the guise of ‘elegance, simplicity, or quality’ … but in the end, this is the reason they hardwire the battery and have moved to the fewest possible number of physical buttons.

This is indeed a ploy of fantasy, however i will play along. The concept in my OPINION would be great seeing as though they would maintain their current demographic as well as gain the older crowd who does not like the solo touch pad. I would call it
I-Slide, dropping the phone bc obviously we don’t need it tell us it is a phone. We have figured that part out by now.

This is so stupid I like the iPhone just the way it is it makes it unique. If you add the keyboard than it will just be like the HTC or Palm Pre just another regular boring mobile phone. Maybe make a couple adjustments here and there that would make it even more unique.

I have the G1 and I love it. But I also like the Iphone as well. I love the options on the G1 like the touch screan, qwerty keyboard, call, hm, go back and end call button slide up crean with apps and the little tracking ball that moves around! I also like the Iphone but I don’t like that you only have 1 button and are limited to certain moves because of it! I think if you combine the G1 and the Iphone together you would have the perfect cell ph. I like that I can hide my apps or have the only ones that I want verses having all of your apps on the face of the ph like the Iphone. It looks very cluttered and busy. You will have the perfect cell ph is you combine them both. It will be a unique and one of a kind ph!!!! You can call it the Iphone G1s Submerger!!!!

Please Please do NOT put a sliding keyboard on any of the iPhones! That’s why we have a touch screen! Too me that would be a waste of money putting in a sliding keyboard! These things break and if u drop it , it will come right off! I have the I phone 3 g and it’s perfect! I would love to see the iPhone 4g with a better battery life , better foto quality, video camera, but everything can stay the same!!
