Palm Pre Smart Phone – Palm Pre Review
Palm Pre Review:
The all new Palm Pre is a path breaker; you cannot describe it as another clone of iPhone. It seems to say that it is different and here to grab the market. Its technical features can be matched only by its superior looks. Operating system is not only singular but incredibly smart too. The Palm Pre was standing out at Consumer Electronics Show early this year and for good reason too. Here are some features that are making the market go abuzz.
Outshining iPhone
The Palm Pre has a touchscreen stretching well below display even going under the screen. It gives brilliant web integration and allows universal search. The battery is removable. Copy-paste facility is offered. It even has a camera that is superior to iPhone.
The Keyboard Combined with TouchScreen Facilities
Palm Pre offers an exciting combination of keyboard and useful TouchScreen facilities. For those who are used to emailing and texting from their phone, this is a blessing. The fact that touchscreen is also available means that it caters to both keyboard and touchscreen fans. HTC G1 did offer the same but Palm Pre has better design quality.
Touchstone Charging
The Pre does not need wires or cables to charge on. It can be charged hassle-free, with a pebble-like device, the wireless charger.
Makes Keeping in Touch Easy
Palm Pre lets you make calls and use email but that is not all. It takes in information, snaps and the online status from Outlook, Facebook and Gmail and places them in you address book and contact list! Chatting and messaging was never so easy.
Juggle the Applications
Palm Pre thinks of applications like cards. So you can skip from one application to the next like you would view or shuffle a card deck. These applications stay active even when they are minimized so you do not have to keep opening and closing applications. Therefore, you can actually multitask using the Palm Pre handset.

Palm Pre
Select from a Host of Networks
Although initially it will run with Sprint, Palm Pre is planning to be available to other networks soon. Unlike iPhone, that can only be available to AT&T in the US for the duration of 5 years. Palm is also proposing to develop another GSM model of this handset for Asian and European markets.
Some Significant Facts
It is true that Palm has not been able to sustain the original success that it had with Palm Pilot and Treos. The only success, that too moderate success that it has had in the recent years has been with Centro. But, with the ‘Palm Pre’, this is all set to change. Pre is even better than Android OS.
With a top OS and a handset that speaks of features galore, Palm Pre is entering the market with great confidence. Will it be a success? It remains to be seen. But with the innovative designs and the fresh look combined with user-friendly developments in applications, Palm Pre is definitely giving its competitors a tough time.

Hi there, I read a previous review of the pre by Andrew Ramsey [http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Palm-Pre-Conjures-Up-a-Wealth-of-Features&id=2459254] where he alluded to the pre having a voice memo facility, but for the life of me I can’t find that. Can you clarify if there is indeed a way to voice record/take memos on the pre that I am simply missing. thanks so much for the help!
