The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD follows on from the Samsung i900 Omnia, one of last years most successful handsets, and the Samsung i8510. Offering an intuitive and innovative design the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, as its name suggests, supports HD video capture and runs on Symbian S60 5th edition operating system whereas the Samsung i900 Omnia ran on a Windows Mobile platform.
Not only have Samsung included HD recording but the Samsung i8910 boasts a massive 2.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen with full TouchWiz user interface, built-in accelerometer sensor and promixity sensor for auto screen turn-off.

Rich in features the Samsung Omnia HD comes with integrated GPS with A-GPS function, built-in navigation application and a digital compass as well as an 8 mega pixel autofocus camera with face and smile detection,blink detection, camera geo-tagging, LED flash, panorama shot feature and DivX/XviD video support in addition to video capture at 24fps.

Altough capable of supporting up to 32GB of memory the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD will be available in two versions, an 8GB and 16GB.
