The Black edition of the popular Sony W890 has today been released on T-Mobile in the UK, after a lengthy spell as a Vodafone exclusive mobile phone the Sony Ericsson W890 has finally been released from it network ties and yesterday was launched on Orange and today T-Mobile.

This is excellent news for consumers as the number of tariffs available with the Sony W890 Black has vastly increased making it a far easier excercise trying to find the rigth deal to suit their usage requirements.

The super slim Sony Ericsson W890 Black is a Walkman phone sporting the latest Walkman mobile music player. This upgrade to the very popular Sony Ericsson W880i has a good range of features, including a 3.2 megapixel camera and mobile broadband support for high speed data transfer, such as downloading music from the net.

The Black Sony W890 is the latest in a long line of excellent phones handsets from Sony Ericsson bearing the Walkman branding. The natural successor to the W880i, the W890i keeps a similar slim style design whilst improving on certain aspects and including a strong array of features.

The first thing you notice about the W890 on T-Mobile is how slim it is. It really does look like a standard MP3 player, slim, light and pocketable. The keys on the W890i are slightly larger than those on the W880i, and are therefore less difficult to get on with. The screen on the phone is a nice, bright, QVGA offering supporting up to 262,000 colours.

The Walkman music player is simple and straight forward to use. All music stored on the phone can be searched via album, artists or genres. You can create your own playlists, plus the new SensMe feature lets you create playlists based on your mood. Along with the music players the Sony W890 Black also has an FM radio tuner. Listen to your favourite station on the move, and if you happen to hear a song you really like, you can identify the artist and track with the excellent TrackID option. Once youÂ’ve tagged the track you can download the track to your phone to play back on the Walkman player.

Bluetooth 2.0 is supported on the Sony Ericsson W890i. This allows you to listen to music with a compatible Bluetooth headset. The W890i is a 3G phone, with also EDGE, HSCSD, GPRS and HSDPA super fast broadband.
