The new Nokia 6500 Classic Gold / Bronze edition has now been made available as a SIM free phone, this means that consumers can buy a gold / bronze Nokia 6500 and insert their existing SIM card with their current mobile number and account details retained.
There is no need to sign up to a lengthy contract agreement, pay any further ongoing fees or pass a network credit check – once a customer has bought a Nokia 6500 Gold / Bronze they then own that mobile phone to do with what they like.

Not to be confused with the Nokia 6500 Slide as they do not share any similarities whatsoever, apart from being mobile phones of course – an odd move by Nokia that shall result in quite a bit of confusion to the buying public and those working within the phone industry.
Anyway, confusion aside the 6500 classic is a stylish candy bar style handset that’s very thin at 9.5mm and very light at just 94g too. It also has a massive 1Gb internal memory but this cannot be improved upon as sadly it does not feature an expansion slot.
A 2 megapixel camera is standard and again rather strangely, although it’s a 3G handset it does not feature a secondary camera so you cannot use it for video calling.
