The new Samsung F490 has today been released as a SIM free mobile phone, after first launching on Vodafone just hours ago as a network exclusive the Samsung SGH F490 can now be purchased without a contract agreement and unlocked to all UK networks so that the customer can insert their existing SIM card and carry on using their mobile number and current tariff allocation.

Samsung’s SGH-F490 mobile puts all the latest technology at your fingertips with the Bluetooth standard, HSDPA technology and a large 3.2” touch screen. Designed with multimedia in mind, this bar mobile phone comes with a 5-megapixel photo/video sensor so you can take great photos, and a number of other functions including an electronic diary and an internet connection.

The Samsung F490 mobile phone includes a full range of connectors such as a built-in modem and a PictBridge port, so you can surf the internet and send your photos and videos to your friends and family. It’s also equipped with a 150 MB internal memory and a slot for microSD cards.
